Wiinstedt is an expert in appraising genuine carpets for all carpet regions. We assess the carpet based on the authenticity of the colors, the strength of the knotting or weaving, the quality of the wool/silk, the age of the carpet, wear and tear, and place of origin. The rarity of the carpet also factors in the assessment. An oral assessment of the carpet’s value in the store costs DKK 400.00, which you can book below or call to schedule a time.
A written assessment for insurance purposes costs DKK 1,500.00. For on-site appraisal, the cost is a minimum of DKK 900.00, depending on how far away the carpet is located and how many carpets are involved.
If you are uncertain about the value of a carpet and need an appraisal for insurance or sale, please send us a picture of your carpet so that we can make a preliminary assessment. The preliminary assessment does not provide a valuation of the carpet’s value but is an assessment of the carpet’s authenticity and clarification fo the purpose of the appraisal, such as resale or insurance appraisal.
